Abby and Drew

Story of Abby’s Dress…..

“My mom bought the dress in the early 1990s as a vintage dress. She had to alter it a lot. My parents eloped in April but had their celebration ceremony in August. My mom didn’t know it but she was a few weeks pregnant with me at the time. (So I’ve actually worn the dress twice now!!)

This past winter my sister and I were joking around and pulled my moms dress out. After pinning it back the joke stopped being funny because it looked great! I had it altered by a local seamstress I met through a friends wedding. Really the only thing I did was take the sleeves off and make it fit in the bodice.
It was awesome adding the sentimental piece to the day!” Abby

Downtown Bride-A Styled Shoot

Lynchburg has come a long way from years gone by. Downtown is now active with people on their bikes, families, and runners. College students, families and couples also enjoy the restaurants and coffee shops.

Along with the many people is the activity of old buildings undergoing facelifts and reconstruction. One of those buildings was a Pride of Virginia Building on Jefferson Street. Owner Jason Cudd offered us the opportunity to use this gem for a styled shoot that showcased beautiful wedding gowns and other details. The brick walls in the building are gorgeous.

The gorgeous shoes, dresses and tux were provided by Heather Tolley of Ethereal Brides and our model Marcella Smith brought each dress to life. Johnny Brown, IV showcased the tux and together they brought to life of a wedding downtown.

Susan Brown of Suzy Q, etc. added some flair with wine glasses, beautiful drapes and simple style. Sandra Guelzo of RS Exclusive and her lovely assistant provided some lovely flowers for a touch of color.

Holly Jade added her talent to the day by providing great makeup and a simple updo perfect for any bride on their big day.

With so many fun spots for pictures. Downtown Lynchburg, VA with it’s new restaurants, bike rentals and coffee shops can be a whole new adventure. Why not take your tour today?

Ryan and Emily March 21 The Kyle House

The Kyle House set in Historic Fincastle, VA is a gorgeous Victorian inspired venue with many unique special touches including a Beautiful old barn to hold quaint ceremonies.

The streets have a small hometown feel with beautiful houses.

Ryan and Emily share a special love that is easily seen when they look into each others eyes. And, although it rained most of their wedding day, we found the perfect break in the rain to head out to capture some great shots outdoors. The indoor barn shot in silhouette was also a true capture of their love.
